Damage Goods is the story of Everly and her journey into emotional adulthood. Everly is an introverted teen who has 3 close friends; she spends most of her time with. The story starts at the beginning of her senior year. She wants to standout a little more and get over her crush on Grayson, the boy, she has loved from afar for years. However, this is easier said than done, because, Grayson is now a student at her school.

Everly is in her first relationship of high school and she doesn’t know how deal with the emotions that come along with, dating someone who has family issues. Perhaps, mental issues of his own that he has yet to come to terms with.

Grayson understands his limitations; however, he is still drawn to Everly on a deeper level. Being young and have seen his mother battle mental issues has taken a toll on him. He tries to hide this from Everly but fails to achieve this at times. Never being in this type of relationships leaves him feeling overwhelmed at times. This is when he runs and hides to get himself under control.

I liked this book it is something many teens and young adults can relate to. It may help others to understand they are not alone.

I would have loved to hear more from Grayson. I just knew he had so much to say. Maybe we will hear him more in the next book.

As for Everly I wanted her to speak up and tell Grayson the things she can and can’t handle even if it means losing him. Many of the problems they have are because she lacks communication. Not saying she didn’t say how she felt but she waited too long to express them. Again this is because she is young and new to dating. I think the next book will show a new light on both of these characters.
Overall, I give this book 4 stars. I enjoyed reading it.

Everly Daniels can’t seem to fall out of love with Grayson Dixon.
Five years after locking eyes with him, Everly is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. He has a pull on her that she can’t seem to break, even if she wanted to. Grayson may be the love of her life, but he doesn’t make it easy. He has built walls around himself that only Everly can breach. But Grayson knows he is not the good guy. He’s reckless and careless, and even if Everly brings a little color into his life, he worries he will destroy her, and cares too much to let that happen.
She has always been the shy wallflower who is afraid to participate. But senior year, all that is about to change.
This captivating new adult novel will take readers on a riveting journey of emotion and growth.
